home plan, Design Basics’ #2550 (the Vinton).
Modifications Carole made to the Vinton, #2550:
- Carole reworked the kitchen to make it
more spacious and give it a more efficient work area. She
relocated the stairs to further open up the kitchen. She
added a 3-way fireplace to add ambience in the eating area.
- She redesigned the rear foyer to include
a drop zone, lockers and storage.
- She removed the formal dining room to
create a larger laundry room with a sink, broom closet and
lots of cabinets and counter space for hobbies.
- She enlarged the master bath, incorporating
an angled whirlpool and spa shower.
- She transformed the den wing into a guest
suite with a private bath. A powder bath was added for public
use.
