Michelle found her ideal home plan; she made
a few tweaks and now it’s perfect!
Homeowner’s Profile: Michelle and
her husband, David, have two girls, ages seven and eleven.
They frequently host family-get-togethers, so increasing the
flow of the family room, eating area and kitchen was particularly
important.

Modifications Michelle made to the Barretts
Bend, #8036:
- Squared off the back of the home to widen the kitchen
in order to add a center island with a snack bar.
- Enlarged the garage.
- Separated the entry from the laundry room and expanded
the laundry room to provide a larger storage area.
- Added a drop zone in the rear foyer.
- Changed the half bath so the entry is off the rear foyer.
- Changed the formal living room to an office with French
doors; changing the bay window to a single, large window.
- Added a linen closet in the master bath.
- Stretched Bedrooms 2 and 4 to the back (over the addition
downstairs).
- Created a large, separate vanity area in the upstairs
bath – with a linen closet between the vanities.
