Marsha found her ideal home plan; she made a few tweaks and now it’s perfect!
Homeowner’s Profile: Marsha and her husband, Greg, both work outside the home. Several times during the year they host after-game parties for their two teenage sons. They
also have extended family who visits several times during the year. They chose the Dawson home plan and made the following modifications.

Modifications Marsha made to the Dawson, #5495:
- Moved the master suite to the back of the home in order to give it more privacy and space.
- Moved the den to the front of the home, utilizing all of the former bedroom/sitting room space to create a spacious, 19 x 12 foot room with an angled entrance as well as a door to the outside.
- Moved the entrance to one of the walk-in closets in the master suite to allow for a linen closet.
- Removed the display shelf wall to open up the great room.
- Extended the pantry to the outside wall and converted the porch to outside storage.
- Omitted the wrap-around counter to open up the breakfast area.
- Added a drop zone just inside the service entry.
- Lowered the great room ceiling to 10 feet.
- Created a large, unfinished storage space on the upper level above the great room.
