Q: CAN I CHANGE THE LOOK OF A HOME'S FRONT ELEVATION?

A: Elevation changes usually consist of "cosmetic" touches such as applying brick, stone, stucco, or special trim. However, more complicated changes, like adapting one home's elevation to another's floor plan, are not uncommon. In these cases, it is generally easier to find an appealing floor plan, and then add a different elevation. If adapting a different elevation isn't feasible, it is usually possible to at least alter the pitch and style of the home's roof. Differences in gables, hips and even interior wall heights can dramatically change the appearance of a roof, and consequently the look of the home itself.
