CAN LUXURY SHOWERING BE GREEN?

A WOMAN'S PERSPECTIVE
Modifications by Chris, a stay-at-home mother of two

  1. Chris asked designers to add pocket doors in the master bath and master closet for ease of entry.
  2. The original laundry was converted to a mud room with lockers for storage and a drop zone (a convenient spot to leave the mail, briefcases, cell phones and laptops).
  3. The master bedroom and kitchen were squared off with the breakfast area, to enlarge the bedroom and add an island in the kitchen.
  4. The study was converted to a family activity room with laundry facilities, a planning desk with a computer, plus an area for crafts or potting plants. A large utility closet for cleaning supplies and the vacuum cleaner was also included.
  5. The second floor of the entry was closed in to create a small game room.
