A WOMAN'S PERSPECTIVE
Modifications by Chris, a stay-at-home
mother of two
- Chris asked designers to add pocket doors
in the master bath and master closet for ease of entry.
- The original laundry was converted to a mud room
with lockers for storage and a drop zone (a convenient spot
to leave the mail, briefcases, cell phones and laptops).
- The master bedroom and kitchen were squared off
with the breakfast area, to enlarge the bedroom and add
an island in the kitchen.
- The study was converted to a family activity room
with laundry facilities, a planning desk with a computer,
plus an area for crafts or potting plants. A large utility
closet for cleaning supplies and the vacuum cleaner was
also included.
- The second floor of the entry was closed in
to create a small game room.
